Comhaltas Craobh Eochaille

Michéal’s track record in promoting the Traditional Arts in East Cork speaks for itself. Under Michéal’s Chairmanship, Craobh Eochaille built its own Cultural Centre Brú na Sí which aims to promote Irish traditional music. Michéal has experience as a board member on many groups including GAA, Tennis, soccer, rugby, festivals, Youghal Active Retired. Michéal is a community activist who believes in collaboration to promote and enhance community development. He believes that the PPN is about putting trust back into the people at grassroots. It is a structure that should seek to break new ground in working in partnership with Cork COUNTY Council to improve the quality of life and resources for communities. Michéal believes his role will be to support the delivery of a range of well organised, imaginative, quality events and help promote capacity building supports for community groups especially community arts groups.
