Nourishing Literacy and Numeracy in a Digital Era This project ran a six-week long cooking programme in seven locations across Donegal Pavee Peck This project saw a group of Traveller women in Dublin come together to create a literacy friendly cookbook of traditional Traveller recipes and cures. You will get tips on how to make your groups and projects more welcoming to people who struggle with reading, writing and everyday maths. Literacy friendly in action: Creating the space for confidence building Date: Thursday 20 June Time: 10 am to 11 am Place: Zoom Hear about two community-based projects that used literacy friendly approaches to build confidence and support people to enjoy benefits of learning as an adult. Keep It Lit This project supported three different groups in Ballyfermot and Cherry Orchard work with writers in residence to develop creative writing. Learner Support Service This project saw Simon Cork develop supports to make their service for people experiencing homelessness more literacy friendly.
