Newsletter 24.04.2026

🌟 A jam-packed week of events, opportunities, and community updates!

Before we get into this week’s Newsletter, I just want to say thank you so much to all who came to our Spring Plenary yesterday evening. There would be no PPN without YOU!

This week’s E-Bulletin is bursting at the seams with ways to connect, learn, and get involved across Cork County. A key highlight is our upcoming Biodiversity Week launch event with the Irish Environmental Network, offering a hands-on opportunity for groups to take action for nature and build practical skills within their communities.

We’re also sharing a variety of local events and initiatives — from wellbeing and sustainability events to creative community projects — alongside a warm welcome to several new PPN member groups, reflecting the continued growth of the network.

There are plenty of ways to step forward, with a wide range of voluntary vacancies, opportunities to join Linkage Groups, and chances to influence local decision-making and policy.

On the funding side, it’s another strong week — featuring supports for sustainability projects, community safety initiatives, childcare expansion, and rural development through programmes like CLÁR.

Finally, members are encouraged to take part in a number of national surveys and consultations, including research on community banking access, hearing care services, and Community & Voluntary sector training needs.

Another busy and opportunity-filled edition — with lots of ways to participate, connect, and strengthen communities across Cork County.
