With home energy and heating costs continuing to put pressure on household budgets, community groups across County Cork are invited to host a free Home Energy Information Night, bringing practical, easy-to-understand information directly into their community.
The evenings are being offered by Pat Morrissey, local SEAI Sustainable Energy Community (SEC) Mentor, and are open to community groups, residents’ associations, active retirement and senior citizens’ groups, sports clubs, and other local organisations.
Topics can include reducing household energy use and costs, understanding electricity bills and plans, insulation, and home energy efficiency, SEAI grants and supports, solar PV and heat pumps.
The sessions are practical and easy to understand, with plenty of opportunity to ask questions, and can be tailored to the interests of each community.
Groups will also have the opportunity to learn about the SEAI Sustainable Energy Communities (SEC) Programme and the supports available to communities interested in taking action on energy locally if they are interested.
