Applications Open for the Tourism Development Fund and Walking Trails Maintenance Grant 2026

Cork County Council is pleased to announce the launch of two new tourism support grants for 2026, the Cork County Tourism Development Fund and the Walking Trails Maintenance Grant, which open for applications on Monday 18th May 2026:

  • The Cork County Tourism Development Fund focuses on tourism marketing initiatives and tourist office operational support. This scheme aims to enhance the promotion of Cork as a leading visitor destination by supporting innovative marketing campaigns, the development of promotional materials, and the continued operation of local tourist offices that play a vital role in welcoming visitors and providing information.
  • The Walking Trails Maintenance Grant is dedicated to the maintenance and improvement of walking trails across the county. This funding will assist community groups and organisations in preserving and enhancing Cork’s extensive network of trails, ensuring they remain safe, accessible, and enjoyable for both residents and visitors while supporting sustainable outdoor tourism.

Applications for both funds are open from 18th May 2026, with the closing date for submissions of Friday 12th June 2026 at 5pm. Further details can be found here: https://www.corkcoco.ie/en/visitor/tourism-development-funds-and-grants
