Funding Opportunity for Organisations Supporting Parents and Families in the South West

Expressions of Interest Invited for Evidence-Based Parenting Programmes

Organisations across Cork, Kerry and South Tipperary are invited to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) to deliver and coordinate evidence-based parenting programmes as part of the development and strengthening of Community Based Parenting Hubs in the South West region. The initiative is funded through the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+) programme and is co-funded by the Government of Ireland and the European Union.

The funding aims to enhance supports available to parents and families by building local capacity, increasing access to quality parenting programmes, and strengthening collaboration between community organisations, practitioners and parenting support services. Community Based Parenting Hubs act as local information and support centres, helping parents access relevant services, information and guidance within their communities.

Priority Training Areas

Expressions of Interest are particularly sought from organisations with expertise in one or more of the following areas:

  • Parenting support for neurodivergent teenagers and adolescents
  • Parenting when separated
  • Managing challenging adolescent behaviour

Applicants may propose to deliver one, some, or all of these training areas.

Funding Available

A maximum allocation of €70,000 is available for the South West region to support the delivery and coordination of these programmes. Funding proposals should demonstrate value for money, organisational capacity, programme quality, and alignment with identified regional needs.

Who Should Apply?

Applications are encouraged from organisations that:

  • Have experience delivering evidence-based parenting programmes
  • Can support training and capacity building for practitioners
  • Are committed to working collaboratively with Community Based Parenting Hubs and local parenting support services
  • Can meet ESF+ reporting, monitoring and evaluation requirements
