This week’s PPN E-Bulletin is full of updates, upcoming PPN dates, community opportunities, funding and ways to get involved!
We have a date for the Cork County PPN Winter Plenary, taking place Thursday, 29 October at 7pm online, with further details to follow. Please note that the Linkage Group meetings scheduled for 13–15 October have been postponed, with a new date to be confirmed.
There are plenty of community events and activities featured, including Kinsale Skill Shares, a Geoff Lawton Permaculture Masterclass in Kinsale, an East Cork Railway Alliance fundraising table quiz, the Cork Pop Up Volunteer Centre in Mitchelstown Library, and Power Up Your Mind at Ilen Rovers GAA on 8 October.
The newsletter also highlights a HUGG Soft Pastels Workshop, the Wexford Pride Creative Writing Competition with the theme Queer Joy.
We are planning a free four-part online training programme on Fundraising & Grant Applications, delivered by Tom O’Leary.
#FundingFriday: This week features Cash4Clubs, offering grants of up €2,000. The newsletter also highlights the #OurEUStory Awards, the Community Heritage Grant Scheme 2027, and the NTR Wind & Solar Farm Community Benefit Funds, with deadlines coming up in October and November.
The consultation on the proposed Carrigaline to Ringaskiddy pedestrian and cycle route remains open until 5pm on Friday, 16 October. There are also opportunities to take part in a UCD research survey for partners of people diagnosed with prostate cancer and a survey exploring barriers faced by small community groups when opening bank accounts.
