This fortnightâs E-Bulletin celebrates the fantastic work of community groups across Cork County, with a special spotlight on Carbery Housing Association, whose innovative community-led housing model has received European recognition for its impact on tackling rural housing challenges. It’s a wonderful example of local action making an international difference.
Thereâs a busy programme of events and training to explore, including Nature Network Irelandâs August events, National Heritage Week activities, dementia support courses for family carers, and a wide range of governance and skills training for community organisations.
There are also plenty of opportunities to get involved within the PPN, with vacancies on our Secretariat, the SPCs, and LCDCs, alongside an open invitation for groups to join our Linkage Groups and help shape local policy and decision-making.
This edition features another strong #FundingFriday, highlighting major funding opportunities for social inclusion, migrant integration, heritage conservation, and community development, with grants available for projects of all sizes.
Finally, we’re sharing several important consultations and surveys, including opportunities to influence the future of the community and voluntary sector, affordable housing, CAMHS services, public health, and wellbeing in Ireland.
