🌱 Opportunities to learn, contribute, and shape community initiatives across Cork
This week’s E-Bulletin highlights several ways for PPN members to get involved in upcoming community initiatives. Groups are invited to share ideas for our launch of National Biodiversity Week, helping shape the agenda and activities planned for an event we’re planning in East Cork, along witgh the IEN. There is also an invitation to attend free Dementia Awareness Workshops in Mallow, aimed at building more inclusive communities and improving understanding of how to support people living with dementia.
Community members can also engage with EirGrid’s Powering Up Offshore South Coast project, with mobile information units visiting Cork locations in April to provide updates and answer questions.
Organisations looking to strengthen their leadership are reminded about the upcoming BoardMatch Live Cork event in April, offering a chance to meet potential board and committee members.
As always, the newsletter shares a range of funding opportunities supporting community awareness projects, arts initiatives, equality-focused grassroots programmes, and local community improvement efforts.
Finally, members are encouraged to take part in several national consultations and surveys, including input into the next Healthy Ireland Framework, research on diversifying sport volunteering, and a public survey exploring perspectives on water quality in Ireland.
