Newsletter 22.05.2026

Welcome to the latest edition of the Cork County PPN E-Bulletin!
As the newsletter moves from a weekly to a fortnightly format, this bumper edition is packed with even more community news, opportunities, events, and funding supports from across the county.

A major highlight is the fantastic success of the recent National Biodiversity Week launch event, delivered in partnership with the Irish Environmental Network. We’re sharing photos, speaker resources, presentations, and a special thank-you message following a hugely engaging day of learning, discussion, and action for nature.

There are also plenty of ways to get involved within the PPN, with ongoing calls for members to join Linkage Groups, fill Secretariat, SPC, and LCDC vacancies, and help shape local policy and decision-making across Cork County.

This edition is particularly strong on funding opportunities, featuring major supports for sustainability and climate action projects, disability inclusion initiatives, creative enterprises, childcare expansion, and community development programmes.

We’re also highlighting education and participation opportunities, including the Certificate in Cultural Citizenship at MTU, designed to support adults with intellectual disabilities in accessing third-level education and developing advocacy and communication skills.

A busy and inspiring edition to launch our new fortnightly format — full of ways to connect, participate, and strengthen communities across Cork County!
