Rathcormac Community Council

Bob is current chairperson of Rathcormac Community Council and leading the Rathcormac 2030 project. He is managing a number of large scale community led projects. Bob is a retired member of the Irish Naval Service having served 34 years. He is a chartered safety & health practitioner, and retired member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport. He has studied at UCC, UCD, UL, IT Tralee, CIT, NMCI, and the Military College and holds an MSc. in Occupational Health from College of Medicine in UCC. He is currently attending an IPA Level 9 Governance course. He is a former chair of the Institution of Occupational Safety & Health Munster branch and was Vice-chair IOSH Ireland. He is involved in many voluntary boards including the Cork Academy of Music, Organisation of National Ex-service Personnel Cork city branch (Chair), Salmon Watch Ireland CLG, Angling Council Ireland (NGB Treasurer), Salmon & Sea Trout Recreational Anglers Ireland (NGB Secretary) Through angling he continues to work with many organisations on inclusion projects, Cork Sports Partnership, Headway groups, Cope Foundation, Scoil Bernadette, Rainbow Club for Children with Autism, and many more. Bob is a member of the Angling Consultative Council Ireland under the Dept. of Environment, Climate and Communications.
