Fact: Speed is the biggest contributory factor in road deaths in Ireland. When you hit a pedestrian or cyclist at 50 km/h, they have a 50% chance of living. But hit them at 60 km/h, and that chance drops to just 10%. Remember the road is a shared space. If we all slow down it will make it safer for everyone.
